"Presented by the Mirror Repertory Theater in New York in 2009. This was an opportunity to work on a much-neglected work by John Colton that had been a hit on Broadway in the 1920’s. Colton was a contemporary of O’Neill. The play was later rewritten in a mediocre film version that avoided the serious issues of racism and colonialism that is at the heart of this work. There are currently discussions underway regarding a re-mounting of our American production in China. "
